Jon Tomson creates custom mobiles and stabiles inspired
by the works of Alexander Calder www.calder.org.
Using aluminum, sheet steel, copper, brass, and stainless steel,
Jon focuses on the exploration of balance, space and whimsy. His
commissioned mobiles hang in residences and businesses ranging
from California to Maine to Florida. A recent installation symbolizing
a solar eclipse hangs at the Celtic and Prehistoric Museum in
the village of Ventry on Ireland’s Dingle Peninsula.
For several years, he was involved in the practice of architecture
and engineering for a Princeton based international design firm.
He now provides strategic marketing consultation to design and
construction organizations serving science and technology markets.
